Every Christmas Eve, Santa delivers presents to children all over the world. But even if there’s a hint of magic involved, how does he know which houses to visit, and in what order? After all, when it’s night-time in Australia, it’s daytime in Europe. And he and his reindeer always get hungry along the way! It all makes Santa’s head spin, but luckily he has a very clever elf to keep him right: Berry-Ann Starbright.
Berry-Ann is an expert at planning Santa’s big journey. She has huge maps hung all over the workshop, and the other elves are quite used to her popping up and sticking pins into them! Some pinpoint the children on Santa’s Nice List; others show when it will be night-time around the world. There’s even a map showing which houses usually leave out snacks for Santa and his reindeer! Berry-Ann combines all this information – plus weather forecasts and more – to plan out the best route each Christmas Eve. Without her hard work, Christmas could very well be a disaster! This is why, to Santa and the other elves, she is known as ‘Superstar’.
After Berry-Ann leaves Santa’s Workshop each day, she’s happy to relax in her cozy little home, where there are no maps whatsoever on the walls! Decorated with bright candies on the outside and in her favorite warm red tones on the inside, it’s a soothing place away from her complicated job. At home, she can do whatever fun things she likes! Because of this, her home is named Holiday Haven. She loves the holiday season, and when she’s at home, she thinks it feels just like a little holiday.
In her spare time, Berry-Ann is a Superstar of many hobbies! She has a large room upstairs dedicated to crafting, painting, knitting, and other fun activities. Berry-Ann is very organized, and she starts planning and creating her homemade Christmas gifts nice and early each year. The elves’ Superstar also enjoys making festive decorations, and always adds some of her own to the North Pole’s jolly displays. Her friends know that she’s always on the lookout for new crafts to try, and they often surprise her with fun ideas. There’s always lots of laughter as Berry-Ann and her friends sit together in her hobby room, trying out (and sometimes messing up) new skills together!
